Incredible Sights to See: Maui PDF Print E-mail

If you are a nature buff, this is the island for you for five reasons: Haleakala Crater, Molokini, the Road to Hana, humpback whales and Maui's beaches.  Maui has over 81 beaches with a combined shoreline of 120 miles. We are convinced you can find the perfect one for you!

Splurge with a convertible and spend a day traveling the 57 miles of the Hana Highway.  Take time to explore this narrow, windy, incredible drive with ocean and mountain views; stop where you feel like it and you may just find the perfect hidden beach to relax for a while.

Haleakala Crater is on the east side of the island and is about the size of Manhattan.  It is highly recommended that you take a sun rise tour of the crater.  But, do it early in your vacation while you are still adjusting to the time change, as you are picked up at 230a to start the tour!

About 3,000 humpback whales make Hawaii their home each winter.  The best place to view these whales (and to grab a tour) is on Maui's west side in Lahaina and Kaanapali.  The seaside village of Lahaina also offers a great historic trail, art galleries and a renowned luau.

Molokini Crater is a diver and snorkeler's paradise and is one of the top ten dive sites in the world.  Located 2 1/2 miles off Maui's south coast  Molokini is an extinct volcano that is now designated as a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District.  There are over 250 species of fish in it's lush reef area in the middle of the crescent.

The Heart of Hawaii: Oahu PDF Print E-mail

For those looking for the beauty of Hawaii combined with a bigger city, Oahu is the destination for you.  Hawaii's most visited island has so many things to do, you could spend your whole vacation there!

The famed Waikiki Beach is the pinnacle of the island.  Two miles of beachfront is sprawled with hotels, the new Waikiki Beach Walk, and is great for people watching and all-day entertainment.  The new Waikiki Beach Walk offers 5 hotels, and over 50 new stores and restaurants.

For the history buff, Oahu offers some incredible options.  Of course, Pearl Harbor is open during renovation (2010 completion), the Bishop Museum offers quite an array of Hawaiian artifacts and history, and even Polynesian Adventure Tours is offering a Presidential Tour for President Obama fans.

To get the lay of the land in Honolulu, we suggest a 2-hour Ohana Walking Tour.  Expert tour guides, who have graduate level knowledge of Hawaii's past and current issues, will stroll you through Honolulu's premier landmarks and attractions.

If you're looking for more adventure, try your hand at Hawaii's only working ranch, the Kualoa Ranch.  Single, half day, and full day packages are available and include horseback tours (even for the little ones), ATV Tours and a gun range.  The ranch and the surrounding Ka'a'awa Valley are known for their place in great movies like Jurassic Park and Godzilla.  Of course, there's a tour available for this too!

Of course, another great highlight of Oahu is the North Shore.  If you're there in the winter (there's only big waves in the winter!), be sure to check out those world-famous waves!

The Island of Discovery: Kauai PDF Print E-mail

The island of Kauai is one of the less developed islands of Hawaii and is best suited for those who love the outdoors and seeking adventure, as the island is renowned for it's outdoor activities and natural beauty.

The Napali Coast, on the north side of the island, boasts 3000 foot cliffs that can be experienced by boat, helicopter or the more adventurous hiker.  Waimea Canyon, on the west side of the island, is often referred to as the Grand Canyon of the pacific.  The canyon is 10 miles long and 1 mile wide and is incredibly beautiful.

Princeville Ranch Adventures offers an incredible zip lining experience with 9 ziplines on site including their King Kong Zipline that's 1200ft.  There are also other great ATV, kayaking, and mountain tubing excursions for the adventure seekers.

For those looking for a little more relaxation, the Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens offer over 240 acres of beauty and serenity and the Koloa Rum Company offers tours, tastings and a company store.
